CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY PLUS “PAWNS OF THE DEVIL” [248e]

Whether new to Christianity or  a long time adherent in some form, there is seemingly a deal of complication and difference of opinion on theological matters. This blog seeks to simplify and clarify just what Christianity is, and to shed light on just why differences of thought occur. It has been and will continue to be “exploratory”.

What has emerged from previous exploration has revealed that there are two “kingdoms” and Jesus was in one of them while we, if we are not believers, are in the other. We of course, if we are people of the world, tend to see Jesus as some sort of freak, who, regardless of the truth of his claim to be the son of God, is seen as someone who was especially “holy”, or crazy; certainly the religious types of his day claimed this last thing.

But if he was right, then all he was pointing out was that he and we were operating from different parameters. He was operating from a basis of truth and integrity, while we were operating from a foundation of corruption which emanated from the “original lie”.

He made this plain when he said that his father was God but their father was a liar “from the beginning”. What emerges is that because man is morally deficient he is subject to fear – “man through fear of death is subject to life long bondage”. [Those who claim they do not fear are simply ignoring the truth that reality is going to catch up with them one day].

Because of some strange quirk with this technology, I just lost several paragraphs of writing. Will try to restate briefly -. Man runs his life on a “false ego” which results in him operating outside of the reality of God’s spiritual environment. Nothing of who [natural] man is or what he has done is compatible with God.

The important thing is to understand the cross correctly. By investigating the “sects” who are  considered to be outside of Christian parameters, it becomes apparent why they are considered so. God has reconciled the world to himself by one singular action – he took upon himself our failings (sins) and consumed them in his love, because this is what and who he is. When he says “as far as East is from West, so far have I removed your sin from you” and “This is my covenant with them, when I take away their sin” and “He bore our sins in his body on the tree” – He does not mean some time in the future, or if you do certain things, or believe according to some group’s interpretation – He means what he says.

This is the power of the gospel, that destroys the false EGO by taking its penalty and its “works” within himself. This destroys “man’s kingdom” and by faith, gives total absolution from having to “wear” the penalty of sin – it is forgiven.

But those groups who deny this, keep people locked up in their false ego, attempting to deliver themselves from corruption and to generate their own “righteousness”. Because it is only because the totality of man’s corruption has been dealt with that he can return to God and maintain himself in his love and mercy. This is why they rely on intellectualism, because it is a product of the EGO, and to admit to the cross having removed their sin would also destroy the earthly system they rely on.

[we are the “works of the devil”?] [this brings up things like “satan’s spawn”? The natural creation as it exists, is the subject of, and is subject to, corruption. Scripture makes it clear that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. God has said that salvation from this condition now lies in the acceptance of Jesus’s sacrifice, because it is able to cleanse and renew man’s conscience, and therefore remove his death and renew his “life”, which life is “hid in Jesus”. (“When he who is your life appears, you also will appear with him”). And, “If the righteous are scarcely saved, what will become of the rest…….?( paraphrase).

Few will be saved. Many will be lost. Yet all could respond.  What of those such as “when the gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature those things contained in the law, they show they are a law unto themselves, their consciences now accusing, now excusing,……but that day will reveal all….” paraphrase. This shows that a standard of righteousness is required which in fact the word calls “holiness”. This infers a setting apart in a special place, those things, that are of God, that are worthy of saving. We all know of some lovely people, who “have a good heart”. Only God can judge whether they have established that “special place”.

As to the fact that all mankind, “flesh”, will perish, is without doubt. Not because of the physical, but because of the lack of the spiritual. “Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God” means there has to ultimately be a transformation from literal flesh body to literal spirit body. But the physical comes first, as it did with Jesus, and then when he was purified, the spiritual. So while flesh exists, it has an opportunity to submit to the spiritual, by which its ultimate destiny is then assured. (here not particularly speaking of The term “flesh” in the NT which refers to the indwelling propensity to sin).

When the flood came, eight people were saved in the ark which is a type of Christ. The rest perished. The requirement of righteousness is enclosed within the simplicity of “swapping your allegiance” from the lie to the truth. Baptism, flood, symbolises the righteous judgement that all that is of the lie, needs to die, needs to be accepted that it IS death in itself. The new nature comes from obedience to the Spirit, [“the Spirit of truth”] not obedience to the law of sin and death, which is exposed and represented by the Mosaic law.

When religious groups disregard the requirement to recognise that Jesus death represented in totality not only the need for everything of the lie to be put to death, but also that he was the only one who could rightfully do that very thing on our behalf, FOR US, and that we are helpless of ourselves to do ANYTHING; (in other words God himself destroys man’s death and corruption that comes from the lie), the only other option is that they try to do it themselves, not recognising he has already done it, and by so doing, they deny God’s purpose in buying us back from death so as to reveal to us our helplessness and our need to return to him. They become champions of the lie instead of the truth, they set about trying to do it themselves. xxxxxxtake note. They even deny the Spirit by which salvation occurs as a gift; they can’t be led by a spirit that is of their own making, therefore they can’t be led by THE Spirit. They deny that Christ took away their obligatory debt to death, and that his love perpetually does this. Their death has been removed, but this is what they refuse to believe.

So if we want to say that we are not the work of the devil, we still have to admit that we have produced “his works”, which are the “fruit” of the lie. It means that to operate “from the flesh” results in the “works of the devil”. (works of the lie). So we are ignorant pawns of “the devil” until we no longer choose to be ignorant of God.

[additional –  the result of “the fall” was that man brought about his “ego” out of which he then operated from the mess created by “the lie” that was now an integral part of himself. Because he was “of the lie”, he could no longer contain, entertain, THE TRUTH, and was enveloped in the need to hide from truth, because truth would destroy both the lie and also, by so doing, destroy this false ego system which had become “life” to his identity (and entity) thus the need to replace our identity with Jesus’ identity.] THE CROSS DESTROYED THE LIE.

[“We have made a covenant with death” Isaiah 28-15. “I will annul your covenant with death” Isaiah 28-18.] [covenant with death indicates that man hides from god because of his sin, he uses it as an excuse. Through the cross God removes our “obligation” to death, and then asks the question, –  ‘Now what are you going to do, now that I have removed all your excuses for avoiding me?’]

  1. THREE EXAMPLES OF WHY MEN SHOULD USE THE BIBLE ALONE BY STEVE FINNELL

Should mankind use the Bible and the Bible alone for teaching faith and practice? If God’s truth is the template for you, then the Bible should be your source for truth.

THREE EXAMPLES OF WHY EXTRA-BIBLICAL SOURCES ARE NOT RELIABLE SOURCES FOR GOD’S TRUTH.

    1. Quote from Pope Francis May 22, 2013: “The Lord created us in His image and likeness, and we are the image of the Lord, and He does good and all of us have this commandment at heart: do good and do not evil. All of us. “But Father, this is not Catholic! He cannot do good.’ Yes he can…”The Lord has redeemed all of us,all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us not just Catholics Everyone! Father, the atheist? Even the atheists. Everyone! ….We must meet one another doing good. ‘ But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist! But do good:we will meet one another there.”

    2. Quote from Billy Graham October 20, 1997: “I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the Body of Christ……He’s calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world,or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don’t have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think they are saved, and that they’re going to be with us in heaven.”

    3. Quote from Doctrine of Covenants -section 130:22 (Mormon supposed divine revelations): The “Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were is not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.

These quotes are all contrary to the Bible.
